✅   Stats before the game. Empoli and Sassuolo have never drawn a Serie A match: in 10 precedents between the two teams, the neroverdi are slightly ahead with six wins against the four of the Tuscans.  Empoli missed the appointment with the goal only in one of the 10 Serie A matches against Sassuolo: 0-3 on 4 December 2016, characterized by two goals from a penalty for Sassuolo. Empoli came out victorious in three of their five Serie A matches against Sassuolo al Castellani (2L) – the most recent, however, was won by the neroverdi, thanks to a 5-1 last January. After the defeats against Juventus and Atalanta, Empoli could lose three consecutive Serie A matches for the first time since December 2018 (four on the occasion, under Giuseppe Iachini). Sassuolo have scored 14 goals in this league, their worst tally after the first 12 Serie A matches since the 2017/18 season (six goals on that occasion) – the average shots of the neroverdi have also dropped compared to last season, when Dionisi’s team tried two more conclusions per game (15 v 13).

👉 Lineup EMPOLI (4-3-1-2): Vicario – Ebuhei, Ismajli, Luperto, Parisi – Fazzini, Marin, Bandinelli – Baldanzi – Satriano, Destro.

👉 Lineup SASSUOLO (4-3-3): Consigli – Toljan, Erlic, Ferrari, Rogerio – Frattesi, Maxime Lopez, Thorstvedt – D’Andrea, Pinamonti, Traoré.
