Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Bologna, 11th position with 45 points and a negative goal difference of -1
Sassuolo, 13th position with 43 points and a negative goal difference of -9

Sassuolo and Bologna ended the Serie A Week 34 with a draw on Monday 8 May 2023 at the Mapei Stadium in Sassuolo, Italy. It all happened in the first half, thanks to the beautiful goals scored by Domenico Berardi and Dominguez, while in the second half, the result didn’t shake from absolute equilibrium. The Emilian derby doesn’t change the fate of the eighth place in the standings. Now there are five teams – Fiorentina, Udinese, Bologna, Monza and Torino – with 46 points in the standings: a battle that becomes incandescent in this championship finale.

Sassuolo opened the score in the 15th minute. Forward Domenico Berardi defeated Bologna goalkeeper Skorupski with a right-footed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Gregoire Defrel.

Bologna equalized in the 42nd minute. Nicolás Domínguez defeated Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli with a right-footed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Andrea Cambiaso.

Stats before the game: Sassuolo have won four of their most recent seven Serie A meetings against Bologna (D1 L2), after going blank in the previous seven (D2 L5). Bologna have scored in all eight away games played in Serie A against Sassuolo: that of the neroverdi is in fact the formation that the rossoblù have faced the most away from home in the competition (eight) among those against which they have always found the net. Bologna won the first leg of this championship against Sassuolo (3-0 with goals from Aebischer, Arnautovic and Ferguson) and could get the three points in both seasonal matches against the neroverdi for the second time in Serie A , after 2017/18, with Roberto Donadoni on the bench.  Sassuolo have gone unbeaten in six of their last eight derbies against opponents Emilia-Romagna in Serie A (W4, D2), however they have lost two of the most recent three (W1), on both occasions against Bologna. Bologna have lost their last two away league games, the last time they recorded three away defeats in a row in Serie A dating back to February 2022.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Hellas Verona, 18th position with 27 points and a negative goal difference of -24
Lecce, 16th position with 31 points and a negative goal difference of -12

Hellas Verona win the Serie A Week 34 defeating Lecce on Sunday 7 May 2023 at the Via Del Mare Stadium in Lecce, Italy. From 30 April 2022, after more than a year, Verona are back to winning away games and they do it in the most difficult moment of the season. The 6-0 suffered in the last match against Inter didn’t scare. Verona can breathe a sigh of relief: Spezia, currently in the relegation zone, remains at -3 and with this victory Verona are getting close to Lecce at -1 maintaining the fourth from last place.

Verona remained unbeaten against newly promoted opponents in Serie A under Marco Zaffaroni on the bench: two wins followed by two draws; however, the Gialloblù have not won away against teams from Serie B since 5 December 2021, against Venezia (4-3).
Lecce have not found success in nine of their 11 Serie A matches against opponents with fewer points in the standings than the Apulians at the start of the day (D4, L5); the only two victories in the set came against Sampdoria on 12 November 2022 and against Cremonese on 4 February 2023.

Cyril Ngonge opened the score defeating Lecce goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The headed assist is by Milan Djuric.

Stats before the game: Verona are unbeaten in six Serie A matches against Lecce (W4, D2) and in particular they have won all the most recent three without conceding a goal.
Lecce lost their last home match against Verona in Serie A (0-1), having gone unbeaten in all the previous six (W4, D2); moreover, he can remain without goals in two consecutive home games against the gialloblù for the first time in the competition. Verona have kept clean sheets in each of their last three meetings against Lecce in Serie A, in their history in the top flight, only twice have they recorded a longer run of consecutive games without conceding a goal against a single opponent: against Inter (five between 1976 and 1978) and against Pisa (six between 1983 and 1988). Lecce have only found success in one of the seven home matches played in the second round of this championship (D2, L4), precisely in the most recent (1-0 against Udinese); the Giallorossi could win consecutive home matches in Serie A for the first time since last January (against Atalanta and Lazio).

Lineup LECCE (4-3-3): Falcone – Gendrey, Baschirotto, Umtiti, Gallo – Blin, Hjulmand, Oudin – Strefezza, Ceesay, Di Francesco.
Lineup HELLAS VERONA (3-4-2-1): Montipò – Magnani, Dawidowicz, Hien – Faraoni, Tameze, Abilgaard, Lazovic – Duda, Verdi – Djuric.

La Dea reacts with Koopmeiners’ free kick saved by Szczesny, while anything goes in the final. Sportiello keeps Atalanta alive by saving on Vlahovic and on the reversal in front Zappacosta hits the post with a shot from outside. In the added time, Doveri interrupts the game for discriminatory chants by the Bergamo fans against Vlahovic, who ends the game in the 98th minute by finishing off a counterattack led by Chiesa in a big way.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Fiorentina, 8th position with 46 points and a positive goal difference of +6
Napoli, 1st position with 80 points and a positive goal difference of +46

Napoli are already Champions of Italy with 5 games to spare. Napoli celebrate in front of their fans also by winning the Serie A Week 34 game on Sunday 7 May 2023 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Napoli, Italy. Napoli won the Scudetto 33 years after their previous one, on 29 April 1990. A wait second only to that experienced by Roma between winning the title in 1942 and 1983 in Serie A (41 years). The game is over and the second part of the party can begin. The three points for Napoli take them to 83 lengths, Fiorentina remain in eighth place at 46 points, tied by Monza and Turin.

A very long party begins both in the stadium and throughout the city. Field tour of Napoli players greeting their people.

Napoli, in their first outing as Italian champions, won against a very attentive and compact Fiorentina team who came close to scoring several times through Jovic in the first half. In the second half two penalties for the hosts, Osimhen misses the first, but the second places it under the crossbar giving the three points to Napoli.

Napoli have won only one of their last five home games in Serie A, while Fiorentina are unbeaten in their last two matches in the top flight against the Neapolitans. In the first leg, at the end of August at the Franchi, the match ended 0-0.

Great celebration for the Scudetto at Maradona where Fiorentina arrives as guest of honor. A match that on paper is an opportunity for Napoli to celebrate with their fans, while Viola will try to maintain eighth position in the league, with an eye to the semi-final first leg of the Conference League on Thursday against Basel.

Napoli had the chance to open the score in the 48th minute. Forward Victor Osimhen failed to convert a penalty when Fiorentina goalkeeper saved his right-footed shot saved in the center. The penalty is conceded by Sofyan Amrabat after a foul on Stanislav Lobotka.

The redemption moment in the 74th minute. Victor Osimhen got another penalty and this time did not fail. Osimhen scored with a right-footed shot to the top right corner. The penalty is conceded by Nicolás González. This is Osimhen’s 23rd goal in Serie A remaining the sole top scorer.

Napoli have scored an average of 2.3 goals per game in their last eight home games against Fiorentina in Serie A, finding five wins (D1, L2) in the run and keeping four clean sheets in the run. Fiorentina have won three of their last five matches played in the second leg of Serie A against Napoli (D1, L1), keeping clean sheets on three of those occasions. Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Spezia, 17th position with 27 points and a negative goal difference of -26
Cremonese, 19th position with 21 points and a negative goal difference of -30

This is a game for salvation. Cremonese with a sprint race win the Serie A Week 34 game on Saturday 6 May 2023 at the Giovanni Zini Stadium in Cremona, Italy. Spezia got off to a better start and seemed in total control throughout the first half, but was frozen by Ciofani’s goal just before the 45th minute. In the second half, Shomurodov hits the crossbar at the start but it’s still the Grigiorossi who find the way to the net with Johan Vasquez’s winning shot. The final assault is useless, Ballardini’s team comes out with the three points from Zini. Cremonese is back in the running for salvation, now Ballardini’s team is within 3 of Spezia and (waiting for tomorrow’s match) of Verona

Cremonese opened the score in the 41st minute. Daniel Ciofani defeated Spezia goalkeeper Dragowski with a left footed shot to the bottom right corner.

The Cremonese have drawn 1-1 in their last two Serie A matches, against Verona and Milan, and could collect three draws in a row in the tournament for the first time since last November; however, the Grigiorossi have never collected three X signs in a row with the same score in the top flight. Spezia have failed to score in four of their last five matches against newly promoted sides in Serie A (D3 L2), having always found the net in all of their first nine matches against these teams (W5 D3 L1). Cremonese have earned four points in their last two home league games (win against Empoli and draw against Verona), the Grigiorossi have not recorded a longer streak without defeat at Zini in Serie A since the period between November 1995 and March 1996 ( 10 in that case).
