In the next round of the championship for Roma, Inter will face Sassuolo at home.

✅    Stats before the game: Roma is the team against which Inter have achieved the most victories in their history in Serie A: 75 in 179 matches, 54 draws and 50 Giallorossi victories complete the picture. Inter have remained unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 matches against Roma in the league (W4, D6), the only Giallorossi success in the period however dates back to the first leg on 1 October last. After the success in the first leg, Roma could win both seasonal matches against Inter for the third time in the three points for a win era in Serie A, after 2016/17 (with Luciano Spalletti on the bench) and 1994/95 (with Carlo Mazzone at the helm). Inter have gone unbeaten in their last five away games against Roma in the league (W2 D3), only once have they recorded a longer streak without defeat away from home against the Giallorossi in Serie A: eight matches in a row between 1933 and 1940. Considering the contests between the teams currently in the top seven of the table, Roma are the ones who have obtained the fewest points (nine), scored the fewest goals (nine) and lost the most times (six).

👉 Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
AC Milan, 6th position with 58 points and a positive goal difference of +14
Lazio, 2nd position with 64 points and a positive goal difference of +28

AC Milan win the Serie A Week 34 game on Saturday 6 May 2023 at San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy. One half is enough for Milan to beat Lazio 2-0, once again moving into the Champions League area and -3 points behind Lazio in second place (64 points). This is an added boost for the morale of the team ahead of the big Milan Derby on Wednesday 10 May, they will face Inter for the Champions League Semifinal first leg.

Bad news for the Rossoneri for an early substitution due for injury. Forward Rafael Leão leaves the field due to injury and asked for a substitution in the 11th minute.

AC Milan opened the score in the 18th minute. Ismaël Bennacer defeated Lazio goalkeeper Provedel with a left-footed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Olivier Giroud.

✅     Stats before the game:  Lazio is the team against which Milan have drawn the most matches in Serie A: 59 out of 159 matches (the picture is completed by 69 Rossoneri victories and 31 Biancocelesti victories) – the last draw between the two teams however dates back to 25 November 2018 (1 -1). After achieving success in the first leg against Milan, the Biancocelesti could win both seasonal matches against the Rossoneri for the second time in Serie A, after 1977/78.  Milan have won four of their last five matches against Lazio played in the second round in Serie A (L1), as many victories as in the previous 16 of these matches (D10, L2).  Considering the matches between the top seven teams currently in the standings in this Serie A, only Napoli (24 in 11 matches) have earned more points than Lazio (21 in 11 matches) and Milan (15 in 10 games). Milan have drawn four of their last five Serie A matches (W1) and have also won just one of their four previous games in a Champions League knockout tie this season (D2 L1), 1-0 against Torino in February.
Sarri’s Lazio schedule has led the Biancocelesti to obtain 25 points in the last 11 days (W8, D1, L2), more than any other team in the same period.

Italian Soccer Serie A

👉    Hello, my friends. Here are the 2022-2023 Italian Serie A Week 33 RESULTS / Thirty-third Round on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 May 2023.

✅   Here is the situation: 👉🏆🇮🇹     Congratulations to Napoli winning the 2022-23 Serie A Scudetto after the 1-1 draw against Udinese.

Napoli are Italian champions with 5 rounds to spare: no team has ever done better in the history of Serie A. Victor Osimhen equaled George Weah (both 46 goals) as the 1st African top scorer in Serie A history.

Riccardo Orsolini (10 goals in this Serie A) is the eighth Italian from Bologna in the era of three points for a win to score at least 10 goals in a single top tournament (Baggio, Signori, Bellucci, Di Vaio, Gilardino, Verdi and Destro the other seven).

Inter have scored at least six goals in a Serie A away game for the first time since 22 September 2013, 7-0 against Sassuolo. Verona have conceded more than five goals at home for the first time in their history in Serie A.

For the second time in this championship, Atalanta have won three consecutive matches; in particular, he hadn’t been able to do it since last September in Serie A TIM.

Spezia have lost two games in a row in Serie A for the first time under Semplici management; in general, it hasn’t happened since last February (series of three knockouts with Gotti).

Leandro Paredes hadn’t scored a goal in the league since 13 March 2022 against Bordeaux and in Serie TIM A since 19 March 2017 against Sassuolo.

Dusan Vlahovic is one of only two players born from 2000 onwards to have already scored at least 60 goals (60 accurate for him) in the top five European leagues; the other is Haaland (at 96 points).

Boulaye Dia became the sixth African player to score at least 15 goals in a single Serie A championship (after Samuel Eto’o, Keita Baldé, Mohamed Salah, Simy and Victor Osimhen), but the first of these to do so in his d absolute debut in the tournament.

Fiorentina have scored eight goals in their last two Serie A TIM games, as many as in their previous six league games.

Sampdoria have failed to score in two games in a row against Torino in Serie A for the first time since the period between 1985 and 1987 (three in that case).

First goal in Serie A TIM for Alessandro Buongiorno.

Bologna, 9th position with 45 points and a positive goal difference of +1

Empoli won the Serie A Week 33 game against Bologna on Thursday 4 May 2023 at the Carlo Castellani Stadium in Empoli, Italy. Empoli rises to 35 points and moves away from the relegation zone, now 8 points away. Bologna, on the other hand, remains in ninth place with 45 points. After Lucumì’s own goal and Akpa Akpro’s goal in the first half, Cambiaghi’s goal also arrived in the second half in the 68th minute, a prelude to Empoli’s success. However, Bologna never stopped trying, especially with Orsolini who tried in every way to score his tenth league goal and found it on a penalty kick in the 88th minute. Other opportunities for Thiago Motta’s team came with Ferguson and Dominguez, as well as with the inexhaustible Orsolini, but the comeback didn’t succeed. With these 3 points. An own goal, two goals disallowed, a penalty kick and four goals scored in all: Empoli-Bologna was a lively match full of episodes and ended with the success of Zanetti’s team who hadn’t won at home for a month ( 1-0 against Lecce on April 3rd).

In the next round Empoli is expected from the home match against Salernitana, while Bologna from the away match against Sassuolo.

Empoli have lost three of their last four home league games (W1), as many as they have lost in their previous 12 matches at Castellani in Serie A (W4, D5).

✅   Stats before the game: Empoli have remained unbeaten in nine of their last 10 matches against Bologna in Serie A (W6 D3). In addition, after the 1-0 success in the first leg, the Tuscans could win both seasonal matches against the rossoblùs for the first time in Serie A. Empoli have not conceded a goal in their last two games against Bologna in the league and have never recorded three clean sheets in a row against the Emilians in Serie A. Among the teams against which Empoli have never lost in home games in Serie A, Bologna is the one that the Tuscans have faced the most (8: W4, D4). Empoli have won their last three matches at the Castellani against Bologna, only against Cagliari between 1998 and 2007 (four) have the Tuscans achieved more consecutive home wins in Serie A. Empoli is the team that has collected the fewest points in Serie A from the beginning of February to today: just six in 12 matches (W1, D3, L8). The Tuscans have lost in seven of the last nine matchdays (W1, D1), after having collected only one knockout in the previous nine (W3, D5).
