🟡🔴 Lecce 1 – 2 Cagliari 🔴🔵

Cagliari triumphed at the Via del Mare Stadium in Lecce achieving their second win in a row, following their success against Parma.  Cagliari reached seven points, tied with Cremonese and Udinese, who are set to play this weekend. In contrast, Lecce experienced their third consecutive defeat, once again delaying their first positive result at home and remaining at the bottom of the table with just one point. A standout moment in the match was Andrea Belotti netting his first goal for his new club, Cagliari. Additionally, Belotti successfully converted a penalty. He won over his new supporters and established himself as a key player.

🟡🔵 Hellas Verona 1 – 1 Juventus ⚪️⚫️

Hellas Verona and Juventus ended with a draw at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. Juventus faced challenges against Hellas Verona and could not secure a win. Fatigue was evident in Tudor’s squad, who, following their Champions League triumph over Inter and a draw with Borussia Dortmund, were unable to earn three crucial points in their third match of the week, which hindered their performance in Serie A’s fourth matchday. Hellas Verona, energized by their passionate supporters, delivered an impressive display characterized by determination and the finishing skills of Gift Orban and Giovane. Goals from Francisco Conceição in the 19th minute and Orban’s penalty in the 44th minute of the first half determined the outcome of the match. The second half saw significant controversy, as VAR ruled out Serdar’s potential 2-1 lead for offside, yet did not penalize Orban’s elbow on Gatti.

🔴🔵 Bologna 2 – 1 Genoa  🔴🔵

Bologna triumphed over Genoa in injury time with a score of 2-1 at the Dall’Ara Stadium. The action unfolded in the second half, where Santiago Castro equalized after Mikael Egill Ellertsson had initially scored. However, Riccardo Orsolini clinched the victory by converting a penalty awarded in the 99th minute due to a handball by Valentin Carboni. This marks Genoa’s second defeat of the season, while Bologna continues their home winning streak: following their victory against Como, they have now also defeated Genoa at the Dall’Ara.  The pivotal moment occurred deep into injury time: the ball struck Carboni’s arm, who had instinctively played it wide for Ekuban’s header. After a lengthy VAR review that frustrated Vieira, the referee awarded a penalty. Genoa coach Vieira was subsequently sent off. Orsolini took the penalty, deceiving Leali and securing three points for Bologna.

⚫️🔵 Inter 2 – 1 Sassuolo ⚫️🟢

Inter triumphed over Sassuolo at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan. Inter secured a 2-1 victory against Fabio Grosso’s Sassuolo. The Nerazzurri, buoyed by their recent Champions League win over Ajax, got back to winning form in the league with goals from Federico Dimarco and an own goal by Muharemovic after a shot from Carlos Augusto, following previous losses to Udinese and Juventus. Despite a strong showing and a late goal from Walid Cheddira, the Emilian team couldn’t hold on after leading 1-0 against Lazio. Inter now has 6 points, while Sassuolo remains at 3.

⚪️⚫️ Udinese 0 – 3 AC Milan 🔴⚫️

AC Milan crushed Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium. After their initial loss to Cremonese, Milan displayed no signs of slowing down, achieving their third straight win against Udinese, following victories over Lecce and Bologna. Christian Pulisic played a pivotal role, celebrating his twenty-seventh birthday.  This is significant for USA soccer as well.  Pulisic scored two goals and provided one assist. Luka Modrić put on another outstanding display, receiving a warm round of applause from the Friulian fans. Allegri experienced double delight, as even though he was in the stands, he also celebrated another clean sheet.

⚪️🔵  Lazio 0 – 1 AS Roma  🟡🔴

AS Roma won the Derby della Capitale, defeating Lazio at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium. Roma secured victory with a goal from Lorenzo Pellegrini in the 38th minute: the former captain (not due to the Curva Sud, which honored him with a banner), the legendary player who seemed poised to leave during August and September, eagerly awaiting his debut in January.

🐂  Torino 0 – 3 Atalanta  ⚫️🔵

What a gloomy day for Torino! Atalanta embarrassed Torino at the Olimpico in Turin with a score of 0-3. Atalanta now has 8 points, while Torino’s standing remains the same. After a fairly even beginning to the game, Atalanta seized control, with Nikola Krstović netting the first goal in the 30th minute. The Bergamo team then built on their momentum, scoring two additional goals from Sulemana and Krstović, which seemed to rattle Torino significantly. In the second half, Torino displayed a noticeably more aggressive approach, but despite a few individual attempts from Simeone, the Granata squad could not score. Baroni and Juric’s teams will be facing off against Parma and Juventus, respectively, next season.

⚜️  Fiorentina 1 – 2 Como ⚪️🔵

Como turned the match around late in the game, winning 2-1 at the Franchi stadium. This marked a second home loss for Stefano Pioli’s squad. The Viola’s solid performance in the first half remained unchanged, as they took the lead just six minutes in with a brilliant goal from the edge of the area by Mandragora. Fiorentina generated numerous chances in the first half, putting Fabregas’s team under significant pressure. However, Como nearly had a golden chance to level the score late in the first half: the referee awarded a penalty after a collision in the box between Nicolussi Caviglia and Perrone. Yet, a VAR review overturned the referee’s call, and the penalty was canceled.   Como equalized in the 65th minute with a header from Kempf. In the end, both teams appeared capable of winning, but Como utilized the available space more effectively. Nico Paz delivered a long pass to Addai, who scored a stunning goal, clinching three crucial points for Fabregas’s side.

🔵 Napoli 3 – 2 Pisa
