Torino triumphed over Pisa in the Coppa Italia Round 2 on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin. At the end of the match, the Granata secured a 1-0 victory against Pisa, moving on to the round of 16 in the Coppa Italia, where they would meet Roma again, a team they had previously beaten at home in the league. Baroni caught everyone off guard by introducing several substitutes, including the young Njie, who made his return to the starting lineup, and new recruit Niels Nkounkou, who made his debut. Throughout most of the match, the Granata displayed a strong performance, playing it safe and generating numerous scoring opportunities. The only goal of the match, which sealed the win, came in the 9th minute. Cesare Casadei found the net with a header from the center of the box into the bottom right corner, assisted by Cyril Ngonge, who delivered a cross after a corner conceded by Jeremy Kandje Mbambi.
