Hellas Verona appointing New Coach Igor Tudor until the end of the 2021-2022 Season after the sacking of Coach Eusebio Di Francesco on Tuesday 14 September 2021.  The managerial change comes following  Serie A Week 3 losing game, Bologna 1 – 0 Hellas Verona, on Monday 13 September.

The challenge for Igor is to help the team climb the team.  Hellas Verona up to Week 3 are in the 19th position losing all 3 games of the season.  Not an ideal start.

Tudor was born in Split on April 16, 1978, Igor Tudor – once his career as a footballer has ended, in which the two championships and as many Italian Super Cups won with Juventus, but also 57 appearances and three goals with the Croatian national team stand out , with whom he took part in the 1998 World Cup (third place), the 2006 World Cup and the 2004 European Championships – he began his coaching career as the first collaborator of Mr. Edoardo Reja at Hajduk Spalato, a club in which he also coaches the formations youth.

On 30 July 2012, Igor assumed the post of assistant coach of the Croatian national team, at the time directed by Igor Stimac.  From 2013 to 2015 he led the First Team of Hajduk Split (69 seats in total), winning the Croatian Cup on 22 May 2013.  Following the experiences with Paok Salonicco (45 benches), with the Turks of Karabükspor and – above all – of Galatasaray, with whom he closes the Süper Lig in fourth place.

It was Udinese who brought him back to Italy, this time – obviously – as a coach: with the Friulians he won two consecutive saves.  After returning to the helm of Hajduk Spalato, in the 2020/21 season he reunites with Juventus, where he holds the position of assistant coach. The season in black and white ends with the conquest of the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup.
