Hello, my friends. Here are the 2022-2023 Italian Serie A Week 19 RESULTS / Nineteenth Round on Saturday 21, Sunday 22, Monday 23, and Tuesday 24 January 2023. This is a thriller round seeing Napoli dominating the league reaching 50 points and + 12 points ahead of second-placed AC Milan. The biggest flop this season are the 2 Milan teams losing their respective games. AC Milan crushed and humiliated by Lazio with a 4-0 at the Olimpico. Inter lost the home game defeated by Empoli at the Meazza. The Italian Football Federation punished Juventus for cheating on players’ transfer values. Juventus punished with a deduction of -15 points stepping down from the 3rd to the 10th position. Ouch! Though, Juventus will appeal the decision.

Hellas Verona with an added boost after winning the Serie A Week 19 game against Spezia on Saturday 21 January 2023 at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy. Verona reached 12 points, though, are still in the relegation zone. A goal in each half, Fabio Depaoli and Darko Lazovic, give Hellas Verona three fundamental points, which are relaunched in the standings. Lecce tries to react in the second half but the hosts double up and close the match.
Hellas Verona reached a landmark record making 1,002 points in Serie A.

✅ Stats before the game. Verona are unbeaten in their last five Serie A matches against Lecce (W3, D2) and have won the last two in chronological order (2019/20 season) – the last Salento victory against Hellas in the top tournament dates back to 4-2 of 7 January 2001 (two goals from Cristiano Lucarelli, Vugrinec and Osorio for the Giallorossi, Emiliano Bonazzoli and Adailton for the Gialloblù). Verona have never lost at home against Lecce in Serie A: four wins for Hellas (including the last one dated 26 January 2020 – 3-0 with the signatures of Dawidowicz, Pessina and Pazzini) and three draws in seven matches at the Bentegodi. Verona have taken nine points so far, registering Hellas’ second worst result in their first 18 games played in a Serie A championship, after eight in 2015/16; in the era of three points for a win and considering the 20-team tournaments, only one team was saved by collecting less than 10 points at the end of the first leg (Crotone 2016/17, which after the first 19 had just nine) . Lecce have scored 20 points so far and with a victory they would register their second best result in the first 19 days of Serie A: so far, the Salento have in fact exceeded the 20 mark at this stage of the tournament only three times (22 points in 2004/05, 22 points in 2000/01 and 27 in 1999/00).
