MONDO MILAN JOINS MUSEIMPRESA

For the first time in Italy a museum has joined forces with the Italian association for museums and enterprises.

MILAN – Mondo Milan, the Club’s exhibition centre, has signed up with Museimpresa an association that aims to improve awareness of the local cultural heritage.

Inside Mondo Milan, which is open every day from 10-19, you are taken through a journey that tells the story of the rossoneri, an in depth look at the most famous trophies and players that represent the club. From shirts worn by players in the most prestigious international matches to cut-outs from newspapers, from medals to the most important trophies won, as well as the Ballon d’Ors awarded to Milan players.

The museum hosts a vast collection of the history of the rossoneri and is just one of the many attractions found at Casa Milan, the headquarters of the rossoneri. As well as the offices, there is the store, the ticket offices and the restaurant. Mondo Milan wants to feed the passion for the black and red of Milan by establishing a close realtionship with the supporters. At the same time the exhibition centre is available to citizens, families and tourists from all over the world. It is a symbolic space that shows off the history of the club but also articulates the present and the future as well.

Along the way there is also a gallery dedicated to contemporary art where young artists can exhibit their works, based on the black and red of Milan and the icons of the club. Throughout the year, workshops are organised for school trips dedicated to good diets and to participating in sports at a young age.

NAPOLI – AC MILAN: FROM MARADONA TO HIGUAIN

30 years ago Napoli were led by Maradona, now they have Higuain leading the attack.
MILAN – the first Napoli-Milan with Maradona on the pitch took place on October 21st 1984, matchday 6 and it finished in a goalless draw. On that day Maradona had two teammates that were former rossoneri players and winners of a scudetto title five years previous; Walter De Vecchi and Simone Boldini. The following two seasons Milan lost at the San Paolo but then on May 1st 1988 came the historic 3-2 victory that also led to the first scudetto in the Berlusconi era. After that game, Milan were defeated another two times down in Naples but then came a series of positive results: 1-1 in the 1990/91 season with an equaliser from Gullit in the final moments of the game; 1-1 in the 1991/92 season – a game that won Milan another scudetto; 1-5 in favour of the rossoneri on November 8th 1992 with four goals scored by Van Basten.

CHRISTIAN ABBIATI TO MILAN CHANNEL: “SOMETHING WONDERFUL IS DEVELOPING AT MILANELLO”

MILAN – This is what Christian Abbiati had to say to Milan Channel:

“I can only speak well of the President. The President has given me everything, he has been a “second father “, if the President said Abbiati I stood to attention. I only have a picture with the President, when he handed me the medal for the number of appearances. I was the first, it seems a small thing, but for me it was the best, I put it on my whatsapp profile right away and I framed it with the President is the President. I am seeing something wonderful developing at Milanello, but I say it softly, I am seeing the right atmosphere. When you change coach it is difficult to get good results right away, but we are doing our best. There is a good group and we are looking to make fewer mistakes. It will not be easy against Napoli because they are having a great season. They have the players we have to fear but we know what we can do. Taking home some points would help our self-esteem which is quite high and enable us to continue on our path to achieve our goals.”
