Giorgio Chiellini has said he hopes the Bianconeri will carry forward
their impressive consistency right until the end of the season after
the side chalked up their 16th consecutive league win at Juventus
Stadium this evening.
Antonio Conte’s men were under pressure to beat Livorno after Roma
narrowed the gap at the summit of Serie A to just five points last
night, but the challenge has turned out to be another hurdle comfortably
overcome by those in the black and white stripes.
Speaking after the final whistle at Juventus Stadium, the
29-year-old began by praising this steady progress: “We’re showing
impressive consistency – we’ve played so many games since mid-February.
“It wasn’t easy either today or Thursday having everything to lose.
We did well, there’s still a long way to go but we’re ticking the
matches off.”
With defensive injuries limiting opportunities for rest, Chiellini
has been forced into almost constant action, but went on to say he’s
happy with the way he and his team-mates have coped.
“I went from being sidelined for a month straight into playing all
the time. Things are going well, and let’s keep moving forward like
this, getting results. The team unit supports each individual.”
After defeating his former club, the defender’s attentions have
already begun to focus on Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final second
leg clash against Lyon. And it’s one that he’s fired up for.
“Definitely, our target is getting close. We want to achieve extraordinary things.”

Round and the 2013 – 2014 Serie A will end on May 18!
The VERONA DERBY with a special twist seeing the ex player Eugenio Corini from Chievo and Hellas now coaching Chievo. Coach Corini played for Hellas Verona from 1996 to 1998 making 46 appearances and playing

Inter – Bologna. Inter opening the score in the 6th minute with forward Mauro Icardi after the assist by defender Yuto Nagatomo. Bologna equalizing in the 36th minute with the goal by midfielder Michele Pazienza. The joy for Inter fans arriving in the 63rd minute with the goal, again, by Icardi to take back the lead. Game ending with Bologna reacting to equalize the game in the 73rd minute. It’s a disappointment for Inter failing again to win the home game. Inter got their first penalty this season and forward Diego Milito failing to convert it because Bologna goalkeeper Gianluca Curci saved in the center!
