Here are the declarations of AS Roma Coach Rudi Garcia on the eve of the UEFA Champions League game CSKA Moscow vs AS Roma on Tuesday 25 November 2014 at the Arena Khimki inMoscow, Russia at 18:00. Game is valid for the UEFA Champions League Group Stage, Group E, Matchday 5.

AS Roma coach Rudi Garcia declaring during the press conference, “My players are very intelligent, everyone made mistakes in the last game and they are aware of the fact that although they made them in one game, they won’t do so again. Tomorrow we need a right back. Either Somma, Florenzi or someone else I’ve got up my sleeve.

“We’re still the same Roma side, we never change. We always think about the matches we have to play and there are teams in Europe who are better than we are. We’re obviously focused on tomorrow’s game and not on the previous four we’ve played in the Champions League. We have our destiny in our own hands and an advantage: the result from the first match. We’ll do everything we can to win the game, although we know it will be difficult.

“When the draw was made, no one thought we’d have a chance of qualifying going into the fifth game. That shows we’ve had our say and it’s up to us to ensure that’s still the case. Although we won the first meeting with them, we still come here with humility. A draw could be useful in terms of qualification but we’ll play to win regardless. We’ve done pretty well so far to be in the hunt. After our win against CSKA in Rome I immediately said that they were a strong side and they’d get results. And I wasn’t wrong on that.

“Maicon is not in a position to play tomorrow as he’s never trained with the squad. I had planned on bringing everyone who had a chance of playing but yesterday we assessed his fitness along with Torosidis’ and neither of them was ready to play in game like tomorrow’s.

Luckily we don’t often play behind closed doors. A game without fans is not real football. The players will talk to one another on the pitch and the press will hear everything!”
