CSKA Moscow – AS Roma
Here are the declarations of AS Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis on the eve of the UEFA Champions League game CSKA Moscow vs AS Roma on Tuesday 25 November 2014 at the Arena Khimki inMoscow, Russia at 18:00. Game is valid for the UEFA Champions League Group Stage, Group E, Matchday 5.
AS Roma goalkeeper De Sanctis saying, “We’ve not had much luck so far in that we’ve never had everyone available so we could rotate the team. That made things very difficult. But, in light of that, I think it’s fair to say that we’ve made a great start to the season. We’ll adopt the same approach tomorrow to give our opponents problems.
“In order to play a game every three days you need to be at 200% and in recent times I was only at 100%: I agreed with the coach that I’d be rested for certain matches. Now I’m fully recovered from the injury I suffered against Verona.
“The cold is something you need to keep in mind. I’ve often played in extreme weather conditions in my career and it’s tricky as a goalkeeper because you run around less and so your hands and feet get cold very quickly. There are ways of staying warmer for longer and the club have done everything they can to limit the impact of the cold. We also need to keep a clear head to understand how the pitch will play. We’ll try to use the next hour of training to best figure out what studs to wear.”
