The penalty was awarded after Alessandro Marcandalli fouled Angeliño in the box. Dybala’s successful conversion left Venezia’s goalkeeper Andrei Radu with no chance. Although Roma struggled in the second half, Dybala’s penalty kick gave the Giallorossi a much-needed boost.
