Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Juventus, 6th position with 58 points and a positive goal difference of +18
Monza, 20th position with 15 points and a negative goal difference of -32

Juventus won the Serie A Week 34 clash on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy.  Juventus secures 3 points against the bottom team in the league, climbing back to fourth place with 62 points, ahead of Bologna and Roma. Nico Gonzalez and Kolo Muani lead the charge against Monza. While Juve sits in fourth, Yildiz’s unnecessary red card at the end of the first half was quite foolish.

Surely, a precious victory for Juventus.  Not just to keep up with their rivals for 4th place but also to boost the spirits of their fans. Conversely, Monza has been on a losing streak that has put them in a dire situation.  They have a challenging gap to bridge to safety, even though their fate isn’t sealed by mathematics just yet.

Monza is facing serious challenges. In the 33rd minute, Randal Kolo Muani found the net with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner, assisted by Khéphren Thuram. The score is now Juventus 2 – 0 Monza.

Juventus finds itself in a tricky situation. Referee Perenzoni issued a red card to Yildiz just before halftime, at the 45+3 minute mark. As Yildiz exits the field, he raises his left arm in an apologetic gesture to the crowd and his right arm to his heart, acknowledging his error.

✅    Stats before the game:

After losing their first two games against Monza in Serie A, Juventus won all three of their next games, scoring exactly two goals each time, for an aggregate score of 6-2.

Each of the two games at the Allianz Stadium between Juventus and Monza in Serie A – both played in the second half of the season – ended with a score of 2-0: the first in favor of the Brianza team, on January 29, 2023, and the second for the home team, on May 25.

Juventus has only suffered one loss in their last 16 Serie A matches against the team that was at the bottom of the table when the match started (W12 D3). This defeat was a narrow 1-0 against Monza at the U-Power Stadium on September 18, 2022, marking the first-ever win for the Brianza team in the top division.

Juventus has secured victory in six out of their seven home matches in Serie A this year, with one draw. Only Bologna, with seven wins, has more home victories in the league this year. Additionally, after failing to score in the first half of their initial five games, they managed to find the back of the net before halftime in the next two matches.
