AC Milan won the Serie A Week 34 match on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Luigi Penzo Stadium. Milan comes into this match riding high after a decisive victory in the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa derby against Inter.  Milan bounces back in the championship after their loss to Atalanta at San Siro. The Rossoneri now have 54 points, holding onto 9th place. They secured a victory at Penzo with a goal in each half: Pulisic netted in the 5th minute, and Giménez sealed the win late in the second half with a gentle touch that left Radu with no chance.

Milan still has a chance to qualify for the Europa League by winning the Coppa Italia, a tournament where Milan advanced to the final after a decisive 3-0 victory over Inter in the second leg of the semi-finals.

The action

AC Milan got ahead early in the 5th minute when Christian Pulisic found the net with a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner, assisted by Youssouf Fofana. Candé made a poor throw that Jiménez intercepted, quickly passing to Fofana. From a central spot, Fofana set up Pulisic, who calmly placed the ball to the right of Radu.

AC Milan clinched the win in the 96th minute when Mexican striker Santiago Giménez found the net with a left-footed shot into the top left corner, assisted by Tijjani Reijnders. Bebote finished it off with a clever touch using the side of his foot, lifting the ball over Radu as he rushed out.

Stats before the game:

Milan has gone unbeaten in 13 out of their last 14 Serie A matches against Venezia, with 11 wins and 2 draws (including one forfeit). The only time Venezia triumphed during this stretch was on March 19, 2000, when they won 1-0 at Penzo thanks to a goal from Filippo Maniero.

Milan has triumphed in their last four encounters with Venezia in Serie A, managing to keep a clean sheet in the last three; this marks the first time the Rossoneri have achieved four consecutive clean sheets against the Venetians in the league.

Venezia is the opponent against whom Theo Hernández has scored the most goals in Serie A: four in three games, including a brace in his only match played at the Penzo (on 9 January 2022). The Milan full-back has scored 31 goals in the tournament, only two defenders have scored more goals with a single team in the history of Serie A: Giacinto Facchetti (59 with Inter), and Antonio Cabrini (33 with Juventus) – Sergio Cervato also scored 31 with Fiorentina.
