Rudi Garcia’s Roma squad will return to training in Trigoria this afternoon after enjoying a two-day rest over the weekend. Over the next few days, the group will be bolstered by the return of the 11 Giallorossi players who have been away representing their countries in international friendlies and Euro 2016 qualification matches.
Up next in Serie A for Roma are Empoli, who visit the Stadio Olimpico at 18:00 CEST on Saturday. After kicking off the week’s preparation this afternoon at 16:15, the Giallorossi have a double session at the Bernardini tomorrow, with training scheduled for 10:00 and 15:30. The players will have afternoon sessions at 16:15 on both Wednesday and Thursday, before Friday sees Rudi Garcia hold his final session ahead of the match at 10:30. Garcia will meet the press for his pre-match news conference straight after training on Friday.
The Empoli match heralds the beginning of a particularly intense period of matches for the Giallorossi, who will contest seven games in 23 days between October 17 and November 8, when Roma and Lazio meet for the first time this season.
