Destro, 24, made his Giallorossi debut under Zdenek Zeman on September 2 in the 3-1 away victory over Inter. His first goal for the club came on November 4, 2012, when he struck the fourth in the 4-1 home win against Palermo in the league.

During his time at Roma, Destro scored 29 goals in 68 appearances in all competitions.
