AS Roma President James Pallotta today announced that the club will organize the AS Roma Family Celebration on September 3, 2016 at Stadio Olimpico, in conjunction with the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy.

The celebration will be a joyful, family-friendly event that will feature entertainment and an exhibition match featuring Roma’s first team. For this special game, Roma’s match jersey will feature the commemorative Jubilee logo.

“Our goal has always been to create a special family environment at the stadium and there is no better time to host an event like this to bring our fan community together,” explained Pallotta.

AS Roma’s announcement was praised by His Excellency Mons. Rino Fisichella, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization, appointed by Pope Francis to organize the Extraordinary Jubilee.

“I want to thank His Excellency Mons. Rino Fisichella for welcoming this initiative during a very busy Jubilee season,” added Pallotta. “We are very proud to participate in this unique and historical moment and trust our celebration will contribute towards fulfilling Pope Francis’s vision for this Extraordinary Holy Year.”

Additional information on the AS Roma Family Celebration, including the opponent for the exhibition match, will be announced in due course.
