Monza visit the Stadio Franchi in the third round of the Coppa Italia on Sunday evening after beating Alessandria and Benevento in the previous rounds.

Cristian Brocchi’s side defeated Alessandria 2-0 at home in the first round before securing an impressive 4-3 away win over Filippo Inzaghi’s Benevento in the second round.

Monza, recently bought by former AC Milan owner Siulvio Berlusconi, are currently coached by Cristian Brocchi, who played for Fiorentina in the 2005/06 season. Brocchi tends to opt for a 4-3-1-2 formation.

The squad has undergone a major overhaul this summer in a bid to obtain promotion from Serie C and Brocchi now has several players with Serie A experience among his ranks, such as defenders Giuseppe Bellusci and Mario Sampirisi and midfielder Nicola Rigoni.
