Franck Ribery underwent diagnostic tests on Sunday morning after spraining his ankle in the first half of the game against Lecce.
The tests revealed a Grade I/II tear of the medial collateral ligament of his right ankle.
The player has begun having treatment and his condition will be re-assessed in the coming days.
