Fiorentina U19s slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Lazio in the first leg of the Primavera Coppa Italia final played this afternoon. Gondo gave Leonardo Semplici’s side an 11th-minute lead, only for the hosts to turn things around with three goals in the second half.

It leaves the Viola with a small mountain to climb in the return leg but they will take heart from having scored an away goal and hope the home crowd can be the 12th man that helps them complete the comeback. The second leg is to be played at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on 2 or 9 April 2014 (20:30), depending on Fiorentina’s involvement in the UEFA Europa League.
