ACF Fiorentina can announce that medical tests performed on Juan Cuadrado have ruled out any injury to his calf muscle. He will receive specific treatment over the next two days and then be assessed before Thursday’s Europa League tie against Esbjerg.

Examinations carried out on Gonzalo Rodriguez have revealed a Grade I strain of his quadratus femoris muscle. The defender will have another check-up in 10 days’ time.

Juan Manuel Vargas underwent surgery to stabilise his fractured fourth metacarpal this afternoon. The operation, performed by professor Marco Innocenti, was a complete success. The Peruvian will be examined again in three days’ time before resuming sports activity, which he will be able to do wearing a protective brace.
