Initial contracts awarded for construction of new Fiorentina training ground in Bagno a Ripoli

Fiorentina is pleased to announce the beginning of work to redevelop the Favard building – the former ENEL training centre – which is located on the land destined to become the new ACF Fiorentina training ground in Bagno a Ripoli.

The tender for the construction and engineering work required for the redevelopment of the building saw participation from several companies. Once the deadline for the submission of technical and economic proposals had passed, Fiorentina worked with the Marco Casamonti & Partners to DAM Costruzioni Generali srl – a company based in the Florence area – as the most suitable company based on the technical and economic requirements of the design chosen by the club’s owners and design team.

The work on the Favard building, which encompasses around 750m2 dating back to the 19th-century, in addition to additions made in the 20th century, will predominantly focus on the historic part of the building.
As announced by Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso during the press conference on Saturday 6 June, Fiorentina is delighted to have identified a local company as the perfect partner for the construction of the new club offices, providing employment to a workforce of around 80 people for the full duration of works.
DAM Costruzioni Generali srl proved itself to be the right partner for this project, which will represent the beating heart of what will become a state-of-the-art facility not just in terms of football in Florence and Tuscany, but across the Italian and international game.
Having signed the contract, the necessary documentation will now be submitted to the relevant bodies in the next few days and work will begin on the project, which is due for complete in late Autumn.
