MILAN – Big news ahead of the 66th edition of the Viareggio Cup. 36 teams will take part in all, 16 Italian sides and 16 from abroad while Milan, Inter, Juventus and Fiorentina will join the competition in the Final 16 stage. The new format was proposed by the Italian Football Federation to favor the Italian sides (Milan and Napoli) taking part in the UEFA Youth League.The draw for the competition will be made on 3 January 2014 in the town of Viareggio while the official presentation will take place on 27 January.
