MILAN - After Abate, De Sciglio, Montolivo, Poli, Balotelli and  El Shaarawy all took part in the athletic tests at the Coverciano sports centre yesterday, Italy coach Cesare Prandelli thanked the clubs for their helpfulness: “These players are the best. I spoke to all of them and from here to the end of the season, they all have a chance to get on the squad”. The coach also underlined how Italy’s midfield could make the vital difference at the World Cup and also said that he hoped he would continue to have selection doubts all the way to 30 May: “The preparation we’re doing is to get past the group stages. After that we’ll be working on getting as far as we can”.
