Some interesting stats ahead of the match Milan-Carpi.

MILAN – Tomorrow the rossoneri take on Carpi in the quarterfinals of the TIM Cup at San Siro. Here are some interesting facts.Milan haven’t reached the semifinals of the Italian Cup since the 2011/12 season when they were knocked out of the torunament by Juventus after extra time.

Milan have won all three of the TIM Cup matches played this season; 2-0 and 3-1 after extra time at home against Perugia and Crotone respectively, and then 2-0 over Sampdoria at the Marassi stadium. If the rossoneri were to win tomorrow then it would be the first time since 2003/04 that the club put together four victories in row in the Cup. At the time the wins came against Sampdoria and Roma.

Carpi have never before reached this stage of the competition. This is their 13th participation in the Italian Cup and they have never reached the quarter finals. In 1922 the club did reach what now would be the round of 16.

Carpi striker Ryder Matos has scored three goals for his team in the Italian Cup this season. The Fiorentina owned player has set a new club record in becoming the all-time top scorer in the competition alongside Concas, Di Gaudio, Toffanetti and Foglieri.
