MILAN – This is what Riccardo Montolivo had to say at the presentation of the Derby For Peace which took place at the San Siro: “I am personally very proud to be the captain of a club that does so much socially and I think that in Scholas it has found an ideal partner to carry out its projects and ideals. I don’t think there is a better occasion than a big sporting event to organise these type of initiatives and getting such an important message across, not only to the fans but also to the public. Today, we are together for an important project with Inter, but come kick-off on Sunday night it will be a different story altogether.”

More from the skipper: “The regret this season is that of not being able to find that consistency when needed most. The derby in this sense is crucial and in order to keep our hopes alive. My wish is that world football becomes increasingly more transparent and that it doesn’t drive fans away from the game.”
