– 1972,  UEFA Cup quarter-final, 1-1 with Liege in the return to qualify for the semi-finals following a 2-0 first leg win.

– 1990, first Italian team to play at the Heysel stadium after the tragedy in 1985, leaving a flowers at the foot of Sector Z before a goalless draw in a Champions Cup quarter-final.

– 2007, 1-0 against Celtic with Ricky Kakà goal in extra-time to qualify for the quarter-final of the Champions League.
