AC Milan winning the 23rd Edition of the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy after defeating Argentinian team San Lorenzo de Almagro on Wednesday 5 November 2014 at the San Siro Stadium.  It is AC Milan forward Giampaolo Pazzini to open the score in the 30th minute  with assist by Riccardo Saponara and then Giacomo Bonaventura in the 85th minute  to lift the morale of the team after losing the Serie A game on Sunday 2 November against Palermo.

It’s a historical match for AC Milan because this is the first time they are playing the Luigi Berlusconi against a team from Argentina football league.   It’s also special because Argentinian Pope Francis has been a supported of San Lorezo even before his election as Pope.  In the past, AC Milan playing mostly against Juventus with a total of 19 games.   AC Milan also played the Berlusconi Trophy on one occasion with Inter, Span La Liga team Real Madrid, and Bundesliga team Bayern Munich.

In this edition, AC Milan, the 7 time European Champions defeating San Lorenzo de Almagro winners of the 2014 Copa Libertadores,   which is the equivalent of Europe’s Champions League.  Testing of two continents.
