FILIPPO INZAGHI: “We could have won”

MILAN – This is what Primavera coach Filippo Inzaghi had to say yesterday at the Vismara Sports Centre after the 1-1 draw with Inter:"I'm very happy with the players, we played for the win. We did well to take the lead and we could have won it. However, when you're up against a player like Botta who plays in Serie A… he was excellent at offloading the ball at the right moment to his team-mates. The lads did all that was possible. We're having a positive season and let's hope we can maintain third place in the league table. I knew it was going to be a tough match, but we created lots of chances and suffered the right amount. We'll wait and see what happens between Chievo-Atalanta and then we will make our evaluations. The Viareggio Tournament has taken away a lot of our energy, with a game every 2 days, and it has taken away players, especially in attack. I congratulate the entire squad, the defenders had an excellent game."Inzaghi also spoke about other themes from yesterday's match such as the presence of Adriano Galliani and Clarence Seedorf at the Vismara Sports Centre: "Their presence is important. It's satisfying for the group to see people of their stature at the matches. They like their job as do we. Milan has to try and qualify for Europe, it's the club's objective. It isn't easy but they can do it. El Shaarawy? He needs to think about doing well, if he needs to get a bit of game time with the Primavera, he's more than welcome. Our focus now is on winning against Padova and then we'll see about the championship."
