Speaking of Nils Liedholm: “He was ideal for a sports doctor. He’d ask when Tizio could get back playing and I’d say, ‘In about a week’. He’s always reply, ‘Make it 10 days’. I remember the derby in the second half of the season when we’re going for our tenth title. De Vecchie got us back to 2-2 with a double. The fans were going mad and after the final whistle, he turned to me and said, ‘A shame. If the ref gave a couple of minutes of injury time, we’d have won 3-2.’”
