MILAN – Omar Danesi remains confident that his Milan U15 side can progress to the next round, despite losing the first-leg of the Scudetto last-32 play-offs earlier today to Fiorentina:

“The outcome of the match was decided in the first 20 minutes, we went a goal down early on, we had chances to level, we hit the post and they had a man sent off. Just as we were on top, we conceded a second and it knocked the wind out of our sails, as was to be expected. We came out for the restart with the right attitude, we controlled the game and we had several chances to cut the gap and we didn’t give anything away. But it’s far from over. We have shown what we’re capable of. The second leg will be a battle and just like they won here, we are going to try and win there. We can do it, we are under no illusions about the task at hand because they have a 2-0 advantage, but we are going there confident that we can turn it around.”
