Nenad Tomovic and Alessandro Matri underwent medical tests on Monday after the two players picked up injuries during Sunday’s match against Catania.

The diagnostic tests performed on the Serbian defender revealed a patellar tendon strain. He will rest and wear a brace to restrict the bending of his knee for two weeks, before having further tests.

Exams carried out on Matri ruled out any muscle injuries at the back of his leg. The striker will therefore be able to return to competitive action over the coming days.
