The Lega Serie A has announced the full fixture list for Weeks 22 to 31 of the 2013/14 Serie A championship.

Fiorentina’s league matches are largely determined by their involvement and potential progess in the Coppa Italia and Europa League, meaning that after this weekend’s visit to Catania Montella’s men might not play on Sunday afternoon again until the end of March.

February kicks off with three league encounters on consecutive Saturdays (against Cagliari, Atalanta and Inter) because of the Viola’s possible involvement in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

The Week 25 trip to Parma has been put back to Monday night (24 February) due to Fiorentina’s Europa League first-leg tie against Esbjerg in Denmark, while there’s a late match on the following Sunday against fellow Europa League hopefuls Lazio after the return leg against the Danes.

Montella will take his charges to Turin for a lunchtime showdown at Juventus Stadium on Sunday March 9 before two Sunday evening kick-offs against Chievo and Napoli, but only if Esbjerg have been successfully negotiated. That scenario would set up a mouthwatering European double header with Juventus (on 13 and 20 March), meaning the Viola could lock horns with the Bianconeri three times in just 11 days!

Finally, after hosting AC Milan in the midweek round on 26 March, Fiorentina will finally have the chance to play at the traditional 15:00 kick-off time on Sunday, away at former Viola coach Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Sampdoria on 30 March.

The Coppa Italia semi-final draw means that, if Fiorentina triumph in the Tuscan derby against Siena next Thursday, they will host either AC Milan or Udinese on Tuesday 4 February for the first leg, followed by the return tie in Lombardy or Friuli exactly one week later.
