PRIMAVERA, MILAN-HELLAS VERONA: 2-1 AT FULL-TIME

MILANO – It ended 2-1 in favour of the Milan Primavera against Hellas Verona.The first half ended 1-1 after Inzaghi’s boys took the lead on 23 minutes thanks to a Modic free-kick. However, the lead didn’t last long and on 35 minutes Hellas got the equalizer through Gatto.The rossoneri dominated the first 25 minutes but then had their shot-stopper Gori to thank for keeping Hellas at bay and the scores tied at the break.In the second half, Stephan El Shaarawy made his comeback from injury as expected by coming on in the 61st minute. In this time, Milan hit the post twice as well as the cross-bar through Pacifico and Modic.The pressure eventually paid off and on 78 minutes the rossoneri youngsters restored their lead through a Petagna penalty. On 88 minutes Milan had the chance to open up a two-goal cushion but Pinato missed a penalty that was won by Stephan El Shaarawy.With this victory the rossoneri now have 50 points and are just 1 point behind Atalanta who are second in Group B of the Primavera Championship.
