Inter 0 – 1 Eintracht Frankfurt
. 5′ Luka Jovic
A sour day for Italy. Inter lost the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 Second Leg game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday 14 March 2019 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy. The first leg ended 0 – 0. The second leg ending Inter 0 – 1 Eintracht giving the aggregate result in favor of Eintracht Frankfurt qualifying to the Europa League Quarterfinals. It’s a major blow for Inter being out of the European competition.
The cold shower at the Meazza Stadium happened in the 5th minute. Yep, the early goal by Eintracht Frankfurt Luka Jovic defeating Inter goalkeeper with a right footed shot in the top left corner. A blow! It seemed that early goal affected Inter’s performance because they were unable to react making this defeat more painful.
