It’s a beautiful day. As Roma won the UEFA Europa League Group Stage – Group G Matchday 2  game on Thursday 5 October 2023 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome,Italy. Roma have six points, like their next opponent, Slavia Prague who scored six goals against Sheriff. It will be a two-way fight for first position.

Roma closing the Servette practically in the first minutes of the second half. After going to the locker room with a 1-0 lead with Romelu Lukaku’s goal. Loernzo Pellegrini enters and changes the match. Immediate assist for Andrea Belotti, goal from the playmaker who then goes out due to injury. The Giallorossi don’t stop and always find the poker with Belotti, who heads a corner from Paredes. Surely, a party time for the fans.

Roma opened the score in the 22nd minute. Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku defeated Servette goalkeeper with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Zeki Çelik.

It’s time for the GALLO!!! Yes, Forward Andrea Belotti scored in the 46th minute with a left-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The headed assist is by Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Roma Captain also leading the team with a goal in the 52nd minute. Pellegrini scored with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The headed pass is by Zeki Çelik.

The party is on at the Olimpico. Andrea Belotti scored a brace in the 59th minute with a headed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Leandro Paredes with a cross following a corner conceded by Keigo Tsunemoto.

✅  Stats before the game: Roma and Servette face each other for the first time ever; the Giallorossi have won six of their previous seven home games against Swiss teams, the exception being the 1-3 against Basel in the Champions League in October 2010. Roma are unbeaten in five matches in European cups after beating Sheriff Tiraspol 2-1 on the first day (3W, 2D) and have not recorded a better streak since February-April 2021 again in the UEFA Europa League (six matches in a row without losing ). Roma won their opening match in this UEFA Europa League against Sheriff Tiraspol, but have only once achieved success in both of their first two matches in the group stage of a European cup in their history (in September 2021 in UEFA Europa Conference League with José Mourinho on the bench). Servette have never faced an Italian team in European cups before; the last time the granata faced a team from a nation they had never faced before in Europe dates back to August 2020, beating the Slovakian side MFK Ruzomberok 3-0 in the UEFA Europa League preliminaries. Roma have lost just one of their last 26 home games in European cup competitions (W19, D6), having won their last five in a row following a 1-2 draw against Betis in the last group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
