Torino Football Club announce the signing of Marco Giampaolo as the new head coach for the next two seasons replacing Coach Moreno Longo. The announcement was made on Friday 7 August 2020. Torino ended the 2019-2020 Season in the 16th position with 40 points.

Marco Giampaolo was born in Bellinzona on August 2, 1967. After having ended his career as a player, in 2000 his first coaching experience was as an assistant coach in Pescara. In the following years he trained many teams both in serie A and serie B such as Cagliari, Siena, Catania, Cesena, Brescia, Empoli, Sampdoria, and Milan. He has coached a total of 277 matches in professional football.
