Napoli forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been awarded the prize of Player of the Month by the AIC for August 2022. Kvaratskhelia will receive the recognition for his achievement before the Serie A Week 8 match against Torino on Saturday 1 October 2022 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
The decision was made with Serie A, B and C professional players deciding who they thought deserved the award, Khvicha won with 68% of the vote. Along with the traditional prize, the Napoli striker also received a special figure hand painted by artist Simone Tribuiani.
In August, Kvaratskhelia marked his league debut in the first game of the season with a goal against Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium and scored a brace against Monza at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in the second match.
