Hello, my friends. Here are the Serie A Week 9 Results – Roundup, Ninth Round on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October 2016. It was just an exciting round seeing a fiercely battle among Juventus, AC Milan, AS Roma and Napoli to achieve a victory to keep up the race for the Scudetto alive.
There is a major turning point as Juventus now risking to lose the leadership next week. The big clash AC Milan – Juventus in San Siro had an unexpected result as most favored Juventus to win the game. However, the 18 years old midfielder Manuel Locatelli decided the match with his goal to give a joy to the fans and a boost to the morale of the team. AC Milan reaching 19 points being now only -2 points below Juventus remaining with 21 points.
The race for the Scudetto is becoming a three-way race and next week the leadership is open for Juventus 21 , AC Milan 19, AS Roma 19, and Napoli with 17 points.
Roma rocking big time by crushing Palermo at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium. Roma coach Luciano Spalletti must be happy seeing his attacking players all in action. Roma forwards Edin Dzeko and Stephan El Shaarawy scoring and also midfielders Mohamed Salah and Leandro Paredes. A tough situation is for Palermo crushed and remaining in the relegation zone. Good news continuing for Roma because Dzeko remains the top scorer of the Serie A with 8 goals.
The big failure is for Inter signaling a clear crisis after being defeated by Atalanta at the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia Stadium. Inter remaining with 11 points going down from the 11th to the 14th position and a negative goal difference of -1. Atalanta went up from the 14th to the 8th position. A big jump for Atalanta getting closer to the European zone. Inter cannot longer afford to keep losing games because they are now 5 points from falling down in the relegation zone if we consider Empoli with 6 points being in the 18th position.
The Derby della Lanterna between Sampdoria vs Genoa won by Sampdoria. A great victory for Sampdoria and sad for Genoa.
The top scorer of the Serie A: AS Roma forward Edin Dzeko with 8 goals
