Cremonese won their last game this season as they are relegated to the Serie B.  Cremonese saluted the Serie A winning the Serie A Week 38 game on Saturday 3 June 2023 at the Giovanni Zini Stadium in Cremona, Italy.  Salernitana tried to make themselves dangerous above all with shots from a distance by Candreva and then with flashes by Sambia who has given a new sprint in the left-handed lane since he entered the field. Salernitana, despite this defeat, are safe to remain in Serie A next season.

Cremonese took the lead in thhe 27th minute. Cristian Buonaiuto defeated Salernitana goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa converting a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The penalty is conceded by Emil Bohinen following a foul on Buonaiuto.

Salernitana conceded another goal in the 88th minute.  Frank Tsadjout scored with a left footed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Soualiho Meïté.

✅   Stats before the game: The only precedent in Serie A between Cremonese and Salernitana is the 2-2 in the first leg (Okereke, Ciofani, Piatek and Coulibaly the scorers).
