Stats before the game: Milan remained unbeaten in eight (W5, D3) of the nine matches played in Serie A against Salernitana, although they drew three of the four most recent matches against this opponent (W1). Salernitana have not won any of the four Serie A away matches played against Milan (1N, 3L) and in general San Siro is the stadium in which the Campania team have played the most matches in the competition without ever finding victory (9: 1N, 8P ). Among the teams against which Milan have always scored in Serie A, only against Pescara (14), Pro Vercelli (12) and Messina (10) have the Rossoneri had more victories than Salernitana (nine). Milan have won only one of their last six league games (3D, 2L), after having recorded a series of five consecutive victories; furthermore, after the defeat against Torino, the Rossoneri can lose two games in a row in Serie A for the first time since the period between January and February 2023 (three on that occasion). Salernitana is the fourth non-newly promoted team in the entire history of Serie A capable of losing at least 25 matches in a single season (2W, 10D, 25L in the current tournament), after Triestina 1946/47 (25), SPAL 2019 /20 (28) and Sampdoria 2022/23 (25).
