✅    Stats before the game:  Only in one of the five matches between Salernitana and Udinese in Serie A did both teams score (2-1 for Juventus in February 1999) – 10 goals were scored in total in these five matches, an average of two per match. Udinese is the only team in Serie A that has played more than one away match against Salernitana achieving 100% successes: 2-1 in February 1999 and 4-0 in May 2022.  Salernitana have drawn 15 games in this league and with two more draws they would reach 17, a quota reached only by six teams in the three-point-to-win era in Serie A: Inter and Palermo 2004/05, Siena 2007/08, Empoli and Sampdoria 2014/15, Fiorentina 2018/19. Salernitana have won six home games this league season (D6 L6) with three of those wins coming in the unbeaten run of their last six home games (D3); Campania have never gone at least seven home games without defeat in the competition. Udinese have lost their last two league games without scoring and have not suffered three defeats in a row since September 2021 with Luca Gotti on the bench (he did not score a single goal in that series). Udinese have failed to score in six of their last eight Serie A away games, including all of their last four, as many times as in their previous 24 away games in the competition.
