Inter win the Serie A Week 37 game defeating Cagliari on Sunday 15 May 2022 at the Unipol Domus in Cagliari, Italy. The victory gives hope to Inter still neck-to-neck with AC Milan and the winner of the Scudetto will be decided in the last game of the season next Sunday 22 May. Milan 83 points and Inter 81 points. Milan will face Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium and Inter will host Sampdoria at the Meazza Stadium. Inter will have to win and hope that Sassuolo defeat Milan. On the other hand, Cagliari will have to hope that Udinese will stop Salernitana and win against Venezia already relegated to Serie B.
Inter won the three points thanks to Matteo Darmian’s goal in the first half and Lautaro Martinez’s brace in the second half. Nothing to do for Cagliari who will have to play for salvation at a distance with Salernitana next week. Lykogiannis’ goal was a flash in the pan in a very difficult match for the Sardinians.
Matteo Darmian opened the score in the 25th minute. Darmian defeated Cagliari goalkeeper Alessio Cragno with a headed shot to the high center. The assist is by Ivan Perisic.
