Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Fiorentina, 11th position with 42 points and a positive goal difference of +1
Sampdoria, 20th position with 17 points and a negative goal difference of -32
Fiorentina humiliated Sampdoria with a goleada. Fiorentina won the Serie A Week 32 game crushing Sampdoria on Sunday 30 April 2023 at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy. Surely, it was a one-way match with the Viola dominating. Dodo, Duncan and Terzic were favored by the Serbian’s plays, joy also for Kouame. No reaction signal from the blucerchiati who close the second 45′ without ever being able to get to the shot.
Two opposite feelings. Fiorentina displayed superiority and Sampdoria with a major flop. Sadly, if there is a worthy way to end a season as disastrous as the one Sampdoria is experiencing, the goleada is not a positive example. After twenty minutes of the best offensive proposal, and a first half in which all in all they held up well only to then collect the disadvantage right in the added time, Stankovic’s team was overwhelmed by Fiorentina in the second half for a humiliating 5-0 final. No wonder, Sampdoria are in the last position.
Midweek round for the thirty-third day: Fiorentina will visit Salernitana while Sampdoria team will host Torino.

Fiorentina started the party in the 47th minute. Gaetano Castrovilli defeated Sampdoria goalkeeper with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Cristiano Biraghi following a corner conceded by Marios Oikonomou. Special goal for Castrovilli scoring a goal in a Serie A match for the first time after 494 days, since Verona-Fiorentina on 22 December 2021.
