Inter succumbed to the pressure failing to win the Serie A Week 30 game against Fiorentina on Saturday 19 March 2022 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy.  The mission was to win and instead this draw slows down the race for the Scudetto while Napoli defeated Udinese reaching 63 points. A point each between Inter and Fiorentina. The second consecutive draw for the Nerazzurri. Fiorentina shortens the distance from Rome, Atalanta (who played one game less) and Lazio, moving to -1 from the Giallorossi and Orobics, and to -2 from Lazio.

Inter have now scored 33 points in 15 home games in this league so far, more than any other team; on five of the last seven occasions in which the Nerazzurri have maintained this performance in the first 14 Serie A home games they have then won the Scudetto (with the exception of second place in 2010/11 and seventh in 2016/17).
