Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
AS Roma, 3rd position with 6 points and a positive goal difference of +2
Juventus, 4th position with 4 points and a positive goal difference of +3

Juventus and Roma ended the Serie A Week 3 game with a draw on Saturday 27 August 2022 at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Italy.   Roma with their heads held high played with character against a Juve wiped out in talent by injuries. Roma show that they can play in big matches even without Zaniolo, with the Special One very good at finding the resources to change the team in a really short bench.

Bottom line, Juventus failed to close the match despite ball possession and having the lead in the first half. The Roman gladiators grabbed this golden point thanks to the equalizer goal by Tammy Abraham responding to the goal by Dušan Vlahović.  It is the first goal signed by the attacking duo and Tammy thanking his partner with a “kiss” gesture towards the camera to thank Dybala that made the Roma fans go crazy. Milik made his first apperance in Serie A with Juve.

In the next round, Juventus will face Spezia and Roma will play the home game against Monza.

Juventus with two clean sheets in the first two days do not start a Serie A championship without conceding any goals in the first three games played since 2014/15 (three wins in that case). Roma having a perfect score will look to cause an upset to claim full 3 points.

Juventus opened the score in the 2nd minute. It is forward Dušan Vlahović to defeat AS Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio with a left-footed free kick shot to the top right corner.

Roma equalized for the 1-1 in the 69th minute. Forward Tammy Abraham defeated Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny from very close range with a headed shot to the high center. The assist is by Paulo Dybala following a corner conceded by Mattia De Sciglio.  This is Dybala’s 50 assist in Serie A.
