✅  Stats before the game.  Roma have won 5 of their last 7 Serie A games against Verona, even if the most recent match ended in defeat (3-2 comeback, signed by Barak, Caprari and Faraoni); more generally, the Giallorossi have scored in 24 of the last 25 matches against the Gialloblu in the competition, the only exception being the game lost in September 2020, after a 0-0 on the field.  After the 3-2 in the first leg, Verona can win both seasonal matches against Roma in Serie A for the first time since 1968/1969 (2-0 in the first leg at home and 2-1 in the return leg away) ); in addition, the Gialloblu can remain unbeaten for two games in a row against the Giallorossi in the competition for the first time since 2015/2016 (series of three draws in a row).  After having just two draws in the first 23 games of this championship, Roma have impacted each of the two most recent matches in Serie A.  Roma are unbeaten in four league games (2W, 2D) and the last time they did better in a single season was in November 2020 (seven).  Verona have won three of their last five Serie A away matches (2P), as many successes as those obtained in their previous 21 away games in the competition; however, the Gialloblu have conceded goals in all of their last 16 away games in the top flight, their worst series since 2001 (19).
