What a historic victory. Udinese won the Serie A Weekk 24 defeating Juventus on Monday 12 February 2024 at the Allianz Arena in Turin, Italy. This is a painful defeat and a slap for Juventus. The hero for Udinese is Giannetti scoring the only goal of the match and enough to claim this prestigious victory. First success of 2024 and an important leap in the rankings for Udinese, now fifteenth with three points ahead of the relegation zone.

On the other hand, it is the second consecutive defeat for Juventus, after the one in the direct clash with Inter, for Juventus, who lose at home for the first time this season, extending their winless streak to three. Juventus with 53 points remained seven points behind Inter, who have a game to recover, and just +1 above AC Milan.

Sadly, this defeat is not a good way for Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri to celebrate his 405th appearance.

Udinese scored the only goal in the 25th minute. Lautaro Giannetti defeated Juventus goalkeeper with a free kick from outside by Samardzic which is extended by Kristensen. Alex Sandro responds but leaves the ball in Giannetti’s area, who only has to push the opening goal into the goal.

👉  Stats before the game: Juventus have won their last four matches against Udinese in the league without conceding a goal, only once have the Piedmontese recorded five successes in a row without conceding a goal against the Friulians in Serie A: between March 2001 and March 2003. Juventus have won all of their last seven matches at the Allianz Stadium against Udinese in the league and have never achieved eight home wins in a row against the Friulians in Serie A; Furthermore, among the teams currently in Serie A, none have a longer streak of home successes against them. The last draw between Juventus and Udinese at the home of the “Vecchia Signora” in Serie A dates back to 18 March 1990 (Dino Zoff was the coach of the Piedmontese while Rino Marchesi was the coach of the Friulians): since then in 29 matches at the home of Juventus, 24 internal successes and five external victories. After five wins in a row in the league, Juventus have recorded just one point in the last two matches, the Bianconeri have no longer recorded consecutive games without a win in Serie A since last April (four in that case – 1N, 3P). Udinese have gained 19 points in 23 matches this season, equaling their worst season in Serie A after as many matches in the three points for a win era (19 points in 2018/19). In fact, starting from 1994/95, the Friulians have always collected at least 22 points after 24 Serie A matches of the season.
