✅  Stats before the game. Milan have won their last two league derbies against Inter, and it is since the period between November 2002 and February 2004 that the Rossoneri have not achieved more consecutive wins against the Nerazzurri in Serie A (four in that case). After a 3-2 first leg win, AC Milan could win both derbies against Inter in a single Serie A season for the first time since 2010/11 under Massimiliano Allegri. Inter have lost their last two home derbies against Milan in the league (both 1-2), as many as in the previous 16 (W11, D3). No team has conceded fewer goals than Inter in home games this league season: five, equal to Roma. Only Napoli (28) have earned more points than the Nerazzurri in home games in Serie A 2022/23 (24 in 10 matches). Milan have lost their last three matches in all competitions, the Rossoneri could record four defeats in a row for the first time since the period between January and February 2017 under Vincenzo Montella in charge. Inter lead by 67 wins to 54, completing the picture 56 draws – against no team have the Rossoneri suffered more defeats in the top division (67 also against Juventus), while for the Nerazzurri the 56 draws against Milan represent a record in the tournament.
