Hellas Verona win the Serie A Week 23 game defeating Bologna on Friday 21 January 2022 in Verona, Italy.  Great victory for Hellas Verona overturning the result after Bologna took the lead.  Verona reaching 33 points while Bologna remain with 27 points.  Previously, Bologna have lost five of their last six Serie A games (1W), after having won four of their previous five (1) – in the period, from 4 December onwards, no Serie A team has lost more games than Bologna and only Genoa earned fewer points (two).

  Stats before the game.  Verona has not won in Serie A against Bologna since April 2016, when Luigi Delneri was on the bench (1-0 with a goal from Samir): since then four rossoblù wins (including the first leg) and three draws.  Verona have scored 41 goals in this league, a record for the Gialloblù after 22 Serie A games: the previous record was 37 goals in 2013/14 – in the era of three points to win never a team with 30 or fewer points later as many games he had scored so much.  Having won their first five consecutive home games under the guidance of Igor Tudor in Serie A, Verona have not achieved even one success in the most recent four (2D, 2L).  Bologna have not drawn away matches in Serie A since October against Udinese: since then for the rossoblù three wins and three defeats – it is since December 2020 that the Emilian team have no longer left away matches without draws (eight in that case).
